    Quarter Final

The Chefs vs NA Sandbags EU #1 – fb7f9a86c70049a59ac91d6ab57ff028

    The Chefs

    NA Sandbags EU

The first match of the event and what a way to kick-off this tournament. A slow start that turns into an amazing game for the viewers with many back and forth and no idea who will be the winner in the end. If you want an enjoyable watch of the competitive scene I highly recommend that one.

For those of you that feel you have trouble to be impactful early on a Greystone Jungle, just watch this masterclass from Mav.

    Villains vs Rogue #1 – df6903add7cc4673b861978e4b7b6cb2

    Rogue

    Villains

Rogue is definitely the underdogs coming into that match but there draft is promising. Villains draft lack a bit on the burst damage department at the exception of the Drongo so this Narbash pick can become absolutely dominant if he survives the laning phase against Riktor. But that is a big IF.

    Villains vs Rogue #2 – 47420f01806f4b7ba4fb7701474a1810

    Rogue

    Villains

Toasty did an XXL performance on the first game of the series on his Riktor and I am surprised Rogue let him have it a second time. I hope it will not end up being there demise. SPOILER it was :/

Even Worse Timing vs Deja Vu #1 – 758fe583b9874541b7ba75f21e25e873

    Deja Vu

    Even Worse Timing

My most anticipated confrontation of the quarter final with Even Worse Timing the PCC 4 champion but that have been having problem in their scrims leading to the tournament and Deja Vu a new team that have shown great potential. Interestingly, we see Deja Vu rocking the Rampage while he was bug in the current patch, a bug that limit its own potential hence he was still available and EWT trying out the Dekker mid.

Even Worse Timing vs Deja Vu #2 – 0bb0af1fa74f4fe98866367ffab78597

    Even Worse Timing

    Deja Vu

I like this match because it shows two different philosophy from the draft. On the side of Deja Vu we try to go for lane priority and bullying especially with the Grux and the Riktor/Drongo lane, while the side of EWT is more looking into map presence and team synergy, mainly through the double global ultimate from Murdock/Muriel and some wombo combo potential.

    The Professors vs No Bunny’s Business #1 – b6b30f3982b64bed8f07c3c4836a35c2

    No Bunny’s Business

    The Professors

Professors were the undeniable favorite coming into this series and it showed. I know this simple comment kinda spoil the result but it was the most predictable outcome of all 4 quarter finals. Still there is some good thing to extract from it, for instance for those interested at becoming a better offlane, watch how Nitro completely dominate Wumbaw through smart lane management in the early game.

    The Professors vs No Bunny’s Business #2 – 3065d395c63744caa2bddb9c4fa05393

    No Bunny’s Business

    The Professors

A great show by No Bunny’s Business, the definite underdogs but making Professors have a run for their money by opposing a very strong early game pressure and securing many objectives in the process. Another not for those that want to learn how to deny a Countess mid with a Belica, watch SoulRe4p3r point of view, he did an excellent job.

    Semi Final

    The Chefs vs Villains #1 – b4fee28a371d4bebadd7a0034722a455

    Villains

    The Chefs

A great game between two teams very close in level that show some amazing combination for kills, great teamfight with people escaping at low health and a game ending moment that requires some nerves of steel.

    The Chefs vs Villains #2 – 2014a9fd1462468c9e01a4fb16b374e1

    The Chefs

    Villains

Villains were probably upset about how the previous game as gone and they decided to put their game face on. The Chef tried to go for a very similar formula compared to the previous game but did not get the Shinbi for the split push this time, resulting in Villains having great early control thanks to their more aggressive lane, especially Riktor/Drongo and Grux. Still interesting to note that the middle of the game was completely stale and no teams actually knew how to get an edge.

    The Chefs vs Villains #3 – a79d42007ae14e3e8125601a72095ed6

    Villains

    The Chefs

At that point Chef were looking a bit desperate and those situation what do you do. You get your comfort pick out. CoLd on Wraith, Xehe on Belica, NotRebelOasis on Crunch and a Greystone mid for Sneakz. WHAT? A GREYSTONE MID? If you are curious to see if it is a good idea or not you can watch the match but you probably already know the answer to that question.

Even Worse Timing vs The Professors #1 – a30092746f254469a579aea9c1f03dee

    The Professors

    Even Worse Timing

A very anticipated match, the PCC 4 champion versus the PCC 5 champion, some people were even saying that it is the final of the tournament before the actual final. Professors pulled out a very typical comp for them with a nice front to back setup while EWT pulled their secret weapon in the form of the Gadget. Basically the only team to like the pick which to be fair is still amazing at shredding tanks if you have a bit of setup which here with the Skewer from Riktor, Cull from Khaimera, and Coliseum from Zarus, EWT was full off it.

Even Worse Timing vs The Professors #2 – 29fed56a6f03466ca7f7d31df558f346

    Even Worse Timing

    The Professors

Professors have drafted a very mid game oriented strategy since their team will get overly outsacled by EWT composition in the later stage of the game. Nonetheless there is a lot to get from Professors comp, they can get priority in the duo lane, letting the Dekker roam to hit this midlane quite hard, freeing the Howitzer to impact the side lane. I like the idea but unfortunately Professors did not show up at all this game, I was a bit sadden to have the impression to see 5 people running across the map not playing together. So naturally game have gone to distance and the better scaling comp was unstoppable.

    Grand Final

Villains vs Even Worse Timing #1 – 989d8de3148642448d337e37de00ae7d

    Villains

    Even Worse Timing

The Grand Final, two teams to compete to see who is getting two third of the cash prize. Villains already faced EWT in the past in the final of PCC4 where they were still named Dirty Lake and the Boys and got obliterated 3-0, so EWT is the favourite going into this Final. This first game was great Villains getting good control early game through the pressure Lauber manage to inflict with his Sevarog winning the 1v1 versus the Zarus but a few mistake allowed EWT to come back into the game leading to a an uncertain late game despite the early lead.

Villains vs Even Worse Timing #2 – 05905848bf454dc9b8fba0fbcf14cca8

    Even Worse Timing

    Villains

I like the composition on the side of EWT good teamfight presence but rely a lot on Grux to be well in his game which should be easy to do since he have a very strong match-up against the Sevarog. Well Lauber had something different to say on his signature pick.

Villains vs Even Worse Timing #3 – 139e9227c96643f5b3efe0544d1170fe

    Even Worse Timing

    Villains

The Phase special pick brought by EWT was a masterpiece of drafting and oh boy if you want to learn how to push out a lead in a game, watch this one it is a masterclass. Also noting Lauber with some crazy play offering some breathing room for his team.

Villains vs Even Worse Timing #4 – c49f2477509548e2966b4926b43424f2

    Villains

    Even Worse Timing

The final game of the tournament, yeah I am spoiling a bit sorry. To be fair the draft was going well early on and then Villains picked Kallari and Grux last two pick when they are facing Dekker, Belica, Steel not a good move. The lack of kill potential on the mid lane due to the fact that Villains have Iggy & Scorch combined with a lot of CC and zoning tool mean that this team can’t really function in the late game. Still they have potential on the early game with 2 bully lane in the form of the Riktor/Murdock and the Grux but they would need to snowball fast to have a shot at this match.
